Key Features of the Bauerfeind RhizoLoc Thumb Support
The key features and benefits of the Bauerfeind RhizoLoc Thumb Support are:
- Thumb support for stabilising the thumb after injury to aid recovery
- Comfortable and stable to reduce pain and make recovery easier
- Breathable material prevents skin from becoming sweaty or itchy
- Adjustable design enables you to restrict mobility as needed
- Comes in a choice of two sizes, in left and right hand versions
Designed for Stabilisation
The RhizoLoc has been expertly designed for stabilisation of the thumb saddle and first metacarpophalangeal joints. Following thumb joint injuries, such as tears or pulls to the collateral ligaments ("skier's thumb"), or for indications of osteoarthritis (arthrosis of first carpometacarpal joint) or irritation, the RhizoLoc support stabilises the thumb saddle and metacarpophalangeal joint.
Adjustable and Adaptable
A Velcro tab allows the mobility of the joint to be limited as treatment requires. The support can be adapted to the patient's individual thumb size by means of the adjustable thumb tab, while the breathable material with its integral pores allows air to circulate. This prevents the skin underneath from becoming sweaty or itchy to help improve comfort even more.
