What Is Dupuytren's Contracture and Can the Palm Cover Help?
Dupuytren's contracture is characterised by the formation of nodules in the ligaments under the palm of the hand. In some cases they extend to form cords that prevent the finger from straightening completely. Recent advances have led to treatments such as enzyme therapy which is particularly effective when combined with the gentle stretching provided by this palm protector.
How Should I Wash the Contracture Palm Cover?
This palm cover is easy to remove and simple to wash. It can be hand washed or machine washed at 30°C and left to air dry. This product is not suitable for tumble drying or ironing.
How Comfortable Is The Fleece Lining?
The fleece used is incredibly soft and luxurious, ideal for providing extremely gentle low-stretch therapy to the contracted hand. This can provide a huge amount of relief from involuntarily contracted hands.
Is This Palm Protector Suitable for Post-Operative Recovery?
Because of the nature of the fleece lining this product is not suitable for contact with open wounds, it is only recommended for use pre-surgery or after surgical wounds have healed.
